Join me on a journey through St. Augustine as I capture the beauty of its landmarks, starting with the historic Castillo de San Marcos at sunrise.

I am working on a project that is taking me around St. Augustine to photograph different landmarks. I only need one or two images from each location, so I thought, why not share some of the extra photos I have been taking along the way? This photo set is from the Castillo de San Marcos National Monument, located in downtown St. Augustine, Florida, on the Matanzas River, taken during a recent sunrise. If you would like to support my work the best thing you can do is consider sharing this link, thanks!

Good morning St. Augustine!

The Castillo was formed with coquina bricks, made from tiny shells.
Close-up of a rustic coquina brick wall with uneven brown and gray textures and visible cracks, creating an aged and weathered appearance.
Coquina bricks played a very important role by absorbing cannon balls instead of shattering or breaking down.
